Geo Cacheing...

While I was in North Caroline, the Brown's took us out on geo cacheing hunt day. For those of you who have never heard of geo cacheing, it's like a glorified scavenger hunt. There are caches all over the world! You go to www.geocacheing.com and type in your zip code. All the caches in your area will show up, GPS coordinates will show up with some clues as to how find the cache. Then you and your GPS are off! In urban areas, like NC, there are a lot of micro caches that are pretty easy (terrain wise) to find. I tried with a group last summer to find a cache in Crow Pass AK, but to no avail. Most Alaskans that cache are outdoorsy and pretty hard core, hiding caches on top of mountains or places like Crow Pass that are not easily accesible. Anywhoo, if your the outdoorsy, scavenger hunt type I recommend checking out cacheing sometime! It's addicting!
